As one who has heard, understood, and am profoundly grateful for the love of God, the grace of God, and the mercy of God demonstrated to me by the atoning death of Jesus the Christ on my behalf, I affirm that it is my desire to covenant with the leadership and the members of a local body of people who share my belief that the execution of Jesus of Nazareth has given me peace with God.
To the leadership and the members of The Church in the Hills, I profess that it is my desire to faithfully . . .
Pray. Because prayer to our Father is effective, I am committing to pray diligently for the leadership of the church, the ministry of the church, and the favor of The Church in the Hills within the hearts and minds of our community.
Attend Gatherings. I am committing to attending faithfully the gatherings of The Church in the Hills because I understand that my attendance at gatherings will enhance my personal discipleship in Christ, will give me opportunities to encourage fellow believers, and will create a greater sense of community at The Church in the Hills.
Serve. In light of the fact that God, through His Holy Spirit, has given me certain abilities to fulfill the mission of The Church in the Hills, I am committing to serve my Lord, Jesus the Christ, unconditionally through the ministry and the leadership of the church for the glory of God and the benefit of the community.
Give. In gratitude for God’s provision for my daily needs and in worship for God’s provision for my need for salvation, I commit to give joyfully of my income as an act of grateful worship, and in a way that will equip The Church in the Hills to profoundly minister to our community.
I fully understand that these are the commitments I am making as a covenant member of The Church in the Hills. Beyond these, I understand that I have committed my life to the lordship of Jesus the Christ who has called me to live as His faithful servant in this world according to His Word.
