ORPHANS
“Pure
and
undefiled religion before our God and Father is this: to look after
orphans and
widows in their distress and to keep oneself unstained by the world.”
In an effort to fulfill these words of James to the first-century church in Jerusalem, we have endeavored to seek out orphans and to do all we can to show them the love of their Heavenly Father. Where we have found an outlet for this desire to minister is in Ukraine where we have partnered with Lifesong For Orphans to love on orphans ages 7-15 who are living in large orphanages with little to no hope for a future.
We are currently hosting two trips to Ukraine where we have an organization that is devoted to ministering to the forgotten children in orphanages throughout Ukraine. We take one trip in the summer in which we host a “summer camp” for the children, and we take a trip in the winter in which we are allowed to help the orphanage medical staff with special needs cases.
Be careful with these trips . . . If you go, you will never be the same again.
